Obviously a place with a lot of regulars, we were treated as outsiders. I personally don't really care about the staff being unfriendly, but they also left drinks empty and walked past us multiple times to get to other tables. The food was pretty good. We tried a few different breakfast places while in town, and the group unanimously voted the hash at Hungry Haven the best. Omelets were also cooked as ordered and packed with filling. The grits were a bit bland, but we are southerners, so it may be unfair to even rate those. So if you don't care about friendly service, give them a try.
Maybe at 11:30 am on a Friday you were too busy. I usually like the food. Today I received over cooked scrambled eggs when I asked for soft scrambled. I ordered a sandwich specifically with turkey cheese tomato mayo. NO TOMATO

HORRIBLE, DO NOT GO HERE, WHAT A DUMP! FOOD AND SERVICE SUCKED! I had the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were raw in the middle, the bacon was paper thin and not fully cooked and greasy, the flavored coffee was ice cold---"someone shut off the burner" on it I was told and the waitress didn't see that before pouring it?, the place is a dump with old torn carpet, plastic glasses, small dining area, unfriendly "host", etc, etc etc. Not a place to enjoy when on vacation. BLAH, NEVER AGAIN!
This was our first time here and we liked it a lot. The food was very good. The atmosphere rustic which we liked. If you have not been here before it’s sits back off the road and could be missed if your not paying attention. It appeared to us that there were mostly locals eating there which is always a good sign. The had local photography on the walls that were for sale. We will definitely come back when we’re in the area.
The food was 9.99/10. Reserving a 0.01 because they didn't fully melt the cheese on top of my friend's omlette but I can't fault them for not trusting their line cooks with a butane torch. My friend also said he preferred it just slightly melted but he is wrong.
I had eggs Florentine.. The best I have ever had.. My husband had a turkey club, his go to everywhere. He said it was the freshest he has ever had! He loved it!
Best family local spot for breakfast and some great deals on diner. Not fancy but great value. Best corned beef hash anywhere!!!
Reminds of places I would eat at on Sanibel Island in Florida. Had my first lobster roll here and loved it. We had apple crisp for dessert. Will come again! Service was quick and good.
